Terms & Conditions
DRIVING LICENCES & FITNESS TO DRIVE
You must hold a current, valid driving licence, provisional, full or international and produce it on your first training session. You must be fit to drive with regard to legal and medical requirements. It is advised to inform the instructor on the first meeting of any other medical complaints which could arise during a driving lesson.
The instructor reserves the right to withdraw their car for tests without notice should the pupil prove not to be of a test standard. While your instructor will make every effort to ensure that the vehicle supplied for test will be fully road worthy and comply with all legal requirements at the start of the test, he/she cannot be held responsible for vehicle failure that occurs during the test and is not liable for consequential
loss. Your instructor cannot be held responsible for test appointments
cancelled by the DSA due to bad weather, sickness, staff shortages or other
reasons. Such cancellations are beyond the control of your instructor and will
advise you about claiming compensation from the DSA.
Must be made 48 hours before the time of the lesson or the normal lesson fee will be charged, unless a doctor’s certificate can be produced. The instructor reserves the right to cancel a lesson at short notice if it is suspected that the pupil may be unfit to drive due to the effects of alcohol, drugs (prescribed or otherwise) or any other condition that would cause his/her driving to be illegal. In such circumstances the lesson fee will be payable. Your instructor reserves the right to postpone lessons in certain circumstances i.e. dangerous weather conditions, mechanical breakdown or illness, fees paid in advance will be carried forward.
THE DRIVING INSTUCTOR
Is a self-employed independent driving instructor and all lessons booked with him/her introduced through Driving Crazy. Constitute an agreement between the instructor and the pupil. Driving Crazy will not be held liable for any refunds or disputes.
Only one offer per pupil and limited to new pupils only, at the discretion of the driving instructor.
Must be paid for in advance to receive a discount. All block payments are non-refundable.
All sessions will start and finish at the same location unless alternative arrangements are made in advance. The instructor will determine a location for practical lessons which ensures both the pupils and public safety- this means that the instructor may need to drive the pupil to and from the lesson location: this journey time forms part of the lesson as paid for.
These conditions do not affect any protection a pupil has under consumer legislation.
Complaints by clients should be made in the first instance to the driving instructor. Failing a satisfactory outcome, to the driving school in writing or by telephoning the office. Failing agreement or settlement of a dispute, reference may be made to the driving standards agency’s registrar of approved driving instructors, who will consider the matter and advise accordingly.
I have read and understood the above terms of business and agree to these terms.
